Long-running Boston-based metallers MELIAH RAGE have issued the following update:

"It's been quite some months since we updated this page, so it's time to catch up with things and tell you what's been going on in the Meliah camp recently.

First of all, Paul Souza has returned to the band to record our new full length CD as well as our first ever cover song, 'Halo Of Flies' (originally on ALICE COOPER's 1971 classic Killer LP - see video below). The song will be a bonus track on the soon to be re-released remix of 2004's Barley Human (that will be officially called Barely Human Remix).

Our original singer Mike Munro has become very dedicated to his church and recently spent time volunteering in Haiti - he felt these and other missions of goodwill would not allow him the flexibility of schedule to tour with Meliah Rage.

We feel very fortunate that we have the ability to work with Paul again, complete this CD and play some shows. Souza was the singer when we toured with METAL CHURCH across the US in 2007.

Our next album will be called Dead To The World and is slated for a July release (the label to put it out will be announced very soon). It will coincide with our (first in 21 years) visit in Europe: we'll play at the Headbangers Open Air festival in Germany on July 29th. We're currently looking for other shows possibilities too.

As far as the new album is concerned: we've already tracked all instruments and we're very excited about how things are progressing. All that remains now are the vocals!"
