RONNY MUNROE, singer of the legendary band METAL CHURCH, recently announced that he was forced to cancel his appearance at Mexico's Mortal Fest 2009, scheduled for May 3rd, due to the swine flu epidemic that has been affecting Mexico.

Munroe now checks in with the following update:

"Here's the latest news...

The Mortal Fest is back on for May 31st, so I will be going to Mexico after all, to perform, meet the fans and hang out for a couple of days!

Also, I will be performing at Rocklahoma on July 11th on the North Stage at 12:30 AM. My solo band and I will be closing the night out.

So... Metal Church plays Rocklahoma Thursday, July 9th, on the main stage, and I will play the North Stage on Saturday, the 11th!!

There's a lot of great stuff going on right now, including my first solo release, The Fire Within"on Rat-Pak Records and Century Media distro. I'm very excited to see every one out on the road, whether it be with MC or myself. Thank you as always for your support and we'll see you all soon!!"

Munroe recently released his debut album, entitled The Fire Within, through Rat Pak Records and worldwide distribution by Century Media.
