METALLICA Come To Christchurch Campaigner's Rescue

Blair Ensor from Stuff.co.nz is reporting:
Blenheim-based METALLICA fan Jamie Woods has cried with joy and hit rock bottom in the last three weeks, but a phone call he thought was a prank has made it all worthwhile.
An American woman from Q Prime, the company which manages Metallica, phoned Mr. Woods on Saturday, and told him he could have two free tickets to one of the Christchurch shows next month.
Mr. Woods' jaw dropped when the woman told him the band also wanted to meet him.
"I didn't cry this time, I froze."He thought the woman was a prank caller.
"I said to her, 'That's not nice, you cannot do that to someone. That's bloody cruel'."However, he soon realised she was not joking.
"People were asking why I was dancing around like a clown."Mr. Woods has been on an emotional roller coaster since Metallica announced this month that they would play in Christchurch.
He was one of many hard-working fans who campaigned to bring Metallica to Christchurch, although his contribution was more substantial than most.
He organised a petition, which was distributed around the South Island in May and gathered 11,285 signatures in one day.
