METALLICA Urged To Do More Shows Down Under
May 15, 2010, 14 years ago
Nui Te Koha from Heraldsun.com.au is reporting:
Promoter Michael Coppel is asking METALLICA to do extra dates after their Australian tour sold out in record time.
Metallica sold 250,000 tickets - 13 arena shows - in 45 minutes.
"To have this demand for a show that's six months away is phenomenal,'' Mr. Coppel said.
The band's world tour ends in Melbourne on November 21.
"We can't extend beyond that,'' Mr Coppel said. "We are trying our best to find a window somewhere earlier. I wouldn't like to say whether it's possible or not. But, obviously, we are looking where we can given the demand exhibited.''
