According to here, METALLICA's sell-out show at the Trent FM Arena (on February 25th) was the venue's biggest ever crowd.

The US band broke the attendance record with their in-the-round show, playing a two hour set in front of 10, 337 fans.

The previous record was 10,015 held by the KINGS OF LEON at a show in December last year.

"We are always striving to provide increased capacities for promoters and this record breaking attendance highlights our success in being able to attract the highest calibre of artists to our venue," said chief executive Geoff Huckstep. "Metallica put on a spectacular gig last night – performed 'in the round' thus guaranteeing a great view for the fans - it was also the fastest selling gig here shifting an amazing 9,500 tickets in just one hour when it went on sale - another record breaking milestone for the venue."

Stuart Galbraith, chief executive of Kilimanjaro Live added: "We are delighted our first ever show at the Trent FM Arena Nottingham was such an outstanding success. The show put on by Metallica is massive and the Arena events team worked closely with our production team to give the fans a fantastic experience!"
