MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx - "From What I've Heard Australia Is Really Ready For Us And We Are Really Ready For Them Too"

MÖTLEY CRÜE are gearing up for their anxiously-awaited tour with KISS and THIN LIZZY. Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx has just landed:
"Long day today (yesterday) getting last minute stuff together to catch the flight to Australia (where I just landed in Sydney). I haven't had a day off in over a month so I am a little bit crisp around the edges. The good news is I've been on a creative high and that always a good reason to be tired. Anyway, I regress, back to the tour. Leaving on tour is always hard on me and always has been. I've been pretty open about it in my books and posts over the years. I have a lot to wanna stay home for but I also love doing what Ido (playing ROCK N ROLL). So here I sit in Sydney waiting for the connection flight to Perth where Kiss and Crüe kick off the first show of the tour. The rest of the band left days ago but I wanted to milk the last few days to soak up the family.
As was taking a taxi from one terminal to the next I saw these huge billboards announcing the shows here and then saw ads on TV in the lounge too. From what I've heard Australia is REALLY ready for us and we are REALLY ready for them too...
I remember the first time we came to Australia and how welcome we felt. The people here are over the top and I cant wait to step on stage tomorrow night.
