According to Rob Hughes from Mi-pro.co.uk, leading sheet music publisher Music Sales has concluded an exclusive print deal with LED ZEPPELIN, the seventies British group whose charity reunion concert last December was the event of the year for many rock fans.

The pan-European deal, which includes digital print rights, will result in a comprehensive re-release of the band’s entire catalogue in a wide range of print and online formats. Music Sales will promote and distribute throughout the music trade as well as through its own retail and online outlets.

Led Zeppelin’s repertoire includes classics as 'Whole Lotta Love', which was performed by the group’s guitarist Jimmy Page at last weekend’s closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, and 'Stairway To Heaven', the most played song ever on American FM radio.

Music Sales’ chief operating officer Chris Butler said: “Music Sales is delighted to have the opportunity - for the first time - to be print music publishers for what is one of the world’s truly iconic bands.”

A spokesperson for Led Zeppelin said: “We recognised that Music Sales had both the experience and the scale of operations to do full justice to publishing this classic material right across Europe.”

Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and disbanded 12 years later following the death of drummer John Bonham. The group also includes multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones and singer Robert Plant.
