As previously reported, Swedish/Greek melodic death metal outfit NIGHTRAGE entered Studio Fredman with producer Fredrik Nordström today (February 23rd) to record their fourth album, entitled Wearing A Martyr's Crown. The release is tentatively set for late June.

Commented guitarist Olof Mörck: "So the time has finally come to record the new Nightrage album, and after a year of hard work on the album we'll enter the legendary Studio Fredman tomorrow to record 11 songs plus one Japanese bonus. For Nightrage, the style of this record represents a journey back to the first couple of albums, but it's in no way a step back musically; there are some quite interesting arrangements on this album, the songs are straightforward and in-your-face, and it features both searing melodies and sheer brutality. All in all, it"s a clear nod back to when the Gothenburg melodic death metal sound was at its peak, in '94-'98 (something we think a lot of people will agree with us on). Expect more news and also a studio report and video clips from the studio soon!"
