Oslo, Norway-based death metal warriors OBLITERATION will release 'Goat Skull Crown' on August 29th. This 7" single is part of the Indie Recordings collector item 7" series and is strictly limited to 500 copies.

'Goat Skull Crown' comes off Obliterations brand new album, to be released later this year. Side A features the song 'Goat Skull Crown'. Side B contains 'Devil Pig', originaly recorded and preformed by VON on their Satanic Blood demo in 1992, and 'Reincarnation' which was originaly recorded and preformed by NECROPHAGIA on their Season Of The Dead album.

It will be sold exclusively at the Beyond The Gates festival, along with their performance that night. Left over copies will be made available at a later stage through selected mailorders. More infos about Beyond The Gates festival here.

Relapse Records recently announced the North American signing of Obliteration. Formed in 2001, Obliteration (Sindre Solem - guitar / vocals, Arlid Myren Torp - guitar, Didrik Telle- bass, Kristian Valbo - drums) have released one EP (Total Fucking Obliteration - 2005) and two full-lengths (Perpetual Decay - 2007, Nekropsalms - 2009). Combining a cosmic blend of old school death metal mixed with the best elements of doom, punk, thrash and primitive black metal, the band has quickly built a name for themselves with their unique, repulsive style.

Obliteration recently finished recording their new album at their home studio in Kolbotn, Norway which will be released later this year by Relapse in North America and Indie Recordings in the rest of the world.

Vocalist / guitarist Sindre Solem commented on their upcoming partnership with Relapse: "We in Obliteration are extremely psyched that Relapse Records are going to handle the American release of our upcoming LP. Obliteration have played several festivals in the US, UK and Europe including Maryland Death Fest, Hole in the Sky, Øya Festivalen, Live Evil, Beyond the Gates, and Killtown Death Fest. The band plans to return to North America in early 2014 in support of their new record.
