Long-running British thrashers ONSLAUGHT are being forced to cancel their appearances at both Metalfests in Germany and Austria as lead vocalist Sy Keeler has been diagnosed with a viral laryngitis.

Sy Keeler's message to the fans: "First off I'd like to say how completely gutted I am that Onslaught will not be able to make it to the Metalfests this weekend, I awoke on Friday feeling a little under the weather with a peculiar feeling in my upper chest & throat, then I tried to speak & very little came out, oh dear ! Obviously I realised this was something new, something that I'd never experienced before, all us singers get a tired voice from time to time but this was something new. I managed to get to see a doctor pretty quickly & I was diagnosed as having Laryngitis ! A viral infection which fortunately leaves no long lasting effect on the voice, just a temporary inability to sing, swollen vocal chords & a general discomfort in the throat, therefore I found myself having to tell the boys, sorry the Metalfests are off. I have to rest the voice for 1 week minimum, I have no choice, the voice doesn't work.

Huge apologies to the Metalfest organisers and of course everyone who was looking forward to witnessing Onslaught live. Thanks for all the get well soon messages I've received so far and I'll see you all soon."

The title track to the band's brutal new studio album, the video for Sounds Of Violence is Onslaught's first official video in twenty years, the last being from the band's 1990 full-length In Search Of Sanity. "The Sound Of Violence, stated Onslaught vocalist Sy Keeler, "was inspired by the horrendous loss of over 150,000,000 souls throughout the 20th Century, instigated by religious tyranny and dictatorial madness of humankind. The lyrics echo the horrific realities of war and remarkable resistance endured by our fellow men and women which continues to this day. Wake up world; welcome to a land of devastating brutality where conflict is a part of everyday life. This is the Sound Of Violence."

The video was filmed and edited By Lukas Hambach of Bloodwork Entertainment (DESTRUCTION, GAMMA RAY) and produced by Tommy Morriello and Thosten Lütje.
