On March 25th, Swedish heavy metal band OVERDRIVE will release the listening companion to the new CD Angelmaker (released on February 21st, 2011 on Lion Music). The album is entitled The Angelmaker’s Daughter and it’s a vinyl only release, limited to 300 hand-numbered copies in three different colours. The LP contains six previously unreleased tracks, all recorded for the latest CD in 2010, plus three tracks from the CD.

Says guitarist Janne Stark: “These are the tracks that didn’t make it on the CD Angelmaker. Not because they were bad, but for various other reasons such as we didn’t want two long epic songs on the CD, a couple of songs were a bit too similar in style, one was a bit too different in style etc. However the combination of these songs, plus three tracks carefully selected from the CD to fit the formula, has made this an album we feel very proud of."

The release of The Angelmaker’s Daughter will be celebrated at Club Stairway To Heaven in Malmö, Sweden, on March 25th, where the band will perform live, supported by hard rockers Carnival Sun (who will also releases their debut on vinyl at this occasion). The LP also comes with an insert with photos and lyrics. A special version including a sew-on patch is also available.
