According to Therockradio.com, MOUNTAIN has been working on their new album, which is a tribute to BOB DYLAN. Singer-guitarist Leslie West and drummer Corky Laing have recorded a number of Dylan songs for the project, including 'Subterranean Homesick Blues', 'Gotta Serve Somebody', and 'Blowing In The Wind'. They've also enlisted some all-star help, including ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND and GOV'T MULE singer-guitarist Warren Haynes and Ozzy Osbourne. West told us that he recently got together with Osbourne and gave him a set of lyrics: "You know, I rearranged these Dylan songs, and I picked a really great one for him to do with me -- 'Masters Of War.' So he's got it, and as soon as he finishes OzzFest, he's gonna sing it. We'll alternate verses and do the choruses together... It's really (a) thrill. He's so great, man. He's still freakin' got it."

The last OzzFest show of the year was on Sunday, August 13th, in West Palm Beach, Florida. It's unknown when Ozzy will cut his vocal.

The Mountain album likely won't be released until next year.

Ozzy has known West and Laing for over 35 years -- Black Sabbath's first U.S. tour was as the opening act for Mountain.

The friendship was renewed last year when Osbourne recorded Mountain's 'Mississippi Queen' for his Prince Of Darkness box set, and he got West to play guitar on the track.

Mountain's next show is Friday (August 18th) in Scottsdale, Arizona. They're also on the HippieFest tour with

COUNTRY JOE MCDONALD, FELIX CAVALIERE'S RASCALS and many others, and the next stop for the multi-act bill is a week from Friday (August 25th) in Hartford, Connecticut.
