Maryland's PERIPHERY have issued the following band update:
"We have some sad news to share. Alex Bois (guitar, pictured below) and Periphery have decided to part ways. This is truly a sad day for Periphery, because Alex has been with us since the beginning, and he is like a brother to us. We're going to do everything we can to make the most out of this unfortunate situation, and soldier on like we always have in the past when faced with setbacks. In regards to all of our upcoming shows and tours, worry not! We will have special guest artists filling in for Alex, so our touring plans will not be changing whatsoever.
Throughout all of this, we really appreciate your support and understanding."
Periphery will embark on the Frak The Gods tour in September and has put together a stunning package. See below and keep in touch here for additional information and VIP Ticketing info, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
Misha Mansoor (guitars) states:
“Hey guys. We are really excited to be announcing our very first North American headlining run. It is called the Frak The Gods tour.
"We feel so lucky to be able to have our buddies in THE HUMAN ABSTRACT as direct support to us. They will be followed by TEXTURES, whom we all love dearly, and who will be coming to the US for the first time ever! Last, but definitely not least, we have the wonderful dudes from THE CONTORTIONIST rounding off this fun little package."The dates are still being worked out but the tour will be from early September to early October and it will also hit a few Canadian locations as well because we love you guys too. Needless to say, this is definitely a tour by musicians for musicians. With that said, all fans of progressive music, musician or not, will enjoy this tour greatly. We hope to see you guys at the shows."
Further details to follow.
