August 6th marks the first appearance of Portugal's MALEVOLENCE at the Vargos Open Air festival. This is the band's first live appearance on Lusitanian soil since 2000. The band's last extreme live operetta happened at the Chaos Mellennium Festival, opening for BEHEMOTH in the same year.

After 11 years, the band is now preparing an event where they promise to detonate plenty of extremely compact musical classics or even to revisit older themes. Malevolence ensure all of their fans and the public in general that even if this performance will be based on themes of their two long-term full lengths, more specifically, Martyrialized (1999) and Dominium (1996), this live appearance represent the perfect occasion to present some new material that will come into sight on their third studio album.

Malevolence enters the studio in August, and the recordings will continue until December. The mixing and mastering of their third album will be held in Germany during January, 2012.

The band promises to reveal more details over the next few days/weeks. Stay tuned.
