PROTEST THE HERO Release Guitar Tab Book For Kezia; Date Set To Begin Recording Next Album
August 9, 2010, 14 years ago
Guitarists Luke Hoskin and Tim Millar from Canadian metal band PROTEST THE HERO recently created a guitar tab book for their 2008 album Fortress, and have now completed another for their 2006 debut album, Kezia.
The spiral bound book includes transcriptions for each of the ten songs on Kezia and an introduction - all written exclusively by the band members.
The guitarists commented, "Better late than never! If you liked playing along with the Fortress guitar book, you will find this just as challenging... maybe even more so since we suffered higher attention deficit issues back then."
The band is currently selling the books through their own tab book publishing company, here.
The band is also giving away a brand new Ibanez S guitar along with other prizes. For more information on the contest, go to this location.
Protest The Hero will begin recording their third full-length at the end of August. The band will once again be working with producer Julius "Juice" Butty at both Jukasa Studios and Silo Recording Studioand the record will be mixed by producer/engineer Machine for an expected early 2011 release.
The band recently issued the following update from guitarist Luke Hoskin:
"We made a little video of some of the stuff we have been working at in the (jam) space for the past few months. As it looks right now, we will be starting the actual recording process in August. It is coming together one piece at a time.Choady is making his big move to the city this week to join his brothers and finish writing this little diddy.
Anyway, here she is. Let the criticisms begin!"
Stay tuned for further updates. More on Protest The Hero at this location.
