RAGING SPEEDHORN - "Thank You"

Disbanded Corby, UK bruisers RAGING SPEEDHORN have issued the following message from guitarist Gareth Smith:

"Just want to say a belated thank you to Toshi, Kenta, Hiro and Yoshi for giving the us the best possible send off in Japan. We had the time of our lives over there and it was one off the greatest tours we ever did, if not THE greatest! It would have been easy for us to ask ourselves if we were doing the right thing in splitting up..

Alas we are splitting up and it does feel like the right time to do so.

I've put up a list of every gig we ever played in our 10 year history. I had some touching flashbacks whilst compiling them. I laughed out loud to myself a few times and sometimes I shuddered at memories best left forgotten...

If there is anyone who can remember any other shows we did, get in touch and I'll add them to the list. I can't remember for the life of me when we played the house party in Retford for the Metal Hammer feature for instance...

Well, the past is the past and the future is what we're looking to now. We are all busy playing and working with other bands and I'll keep the site updated on any future projects.

Check out my other bands VICTIMS (who have their latest album coming out on Deathwish in February) and ROWDY RAMBLERS, who will be recording a new record in April.

Kev is playing in the mighty SPEKTRA HAWK. Check them out! They rule! Myself and Kev will be joining forces again sometime this year to start a band with friends of ours who play in some really great bands... Kev will probably have started about another 10 bands by that time though...

Dave and Jay's other band, I'M FASHION YOU'RE VICTIM, just played their final show, under their old name SCURGE, at the good old Sawyers Arms, with Spektra Hawk supporting them. I was there with about 30 other people. Shocking turn out but it was a great show, so more fool you if you missed it. Jay has about 3 projects on the go as I write this, although none of it has anything to do with hardcore. So you meat head metal fans beware! I think Dave will join him on a couple of the projects he has going on...I think Dave might also be doing something else in the hardcore scene... keep you posted on that.

John and Gordon both have stuff on the go too, so again, I'll keep the site up to date on that when it happens.

OK, thank you all for one last time, everybody who helped Raging Speedhorn become what it was between 1998 and 2008. You helped change our lives for the better. Forever. We'll never forget you."
