If you’re heading to Monday’s AC/DC concert at Mosaic Stadium, it’s best to remember that patience is a virtue.
With 40,000 fans expected to attend the event, getting into the facility will most likely be a time-consuming endeavour. Significant street closures, limited parking and specific gate entry will add to the challenge of reaching your seat. All fans will also be subject to a search before entering the stadium.
Organizers are suggesting arriving early - the doors open at 6 p.m. - and remaining calm, cool and collected.
“Patience is the biggest message I would give to people,” said Neil Donnelly, vice-president of marketing and events for Evraz Place. “People are going to be very excited and very hyped about the big event coming to town but everyone has to understand that when you’re trying to put 40,000 people into a constricted area there’s going to be lineups, there’s going to be some congestion . . . If people are patient, if they get there and prepare themselves properly, pay attention to the warnings and follow the rules, then it will be a great event and people will enjoy it. But if people think there aren’t going to be lineups and there isn’t going to be congestion, then there they’re not going to enjoy themselves as much.”Read more here.
