Business Wire has issued the following:

"imeem, a leading social network, and Rhino Entertainment, the world's leading pop culture label, today announced a partnership to promote legendary rock band LED ZEPPELIN’s upcoming release of Mothership.

The promotion includes the availability of historic live footage of the band on imeem, as well as a user generated contest where fans compete by creating Led Zeppelin trivia at http://ledzeppelin.imeem.com/. Live concert footage features fan favorites such as 'Kashmir', 'Rock and Roll', 'Black Dog', 'Whole Lotta Love' and more. Fans can highlight their favorite live Led Zeppelin moments by creating video playlists on imeem, which can be embedded on web sites, social networks and blogs to virally spread across the web.

Fans also have the opportunity to win the ultimate Led Zeppelin prize pack by participating in “Get the Led Out on imeem!” Fans can win by creating popular polls about anything Led Zeppelin-related on the Led Zep imeem channel. Entry period for the contest is November 12th through December 12th. Grand prize is an Epiphone SG guitar, the same style instrument often played by the legendary Jimmy Page, along with the entire Zeppelin catalog of CDs, DVDs, box sets, the new Mothership set as well as limited edition posters, buttons and stickers.

"Led Zeppelin's music is a rite of passage for every generation that has come along since they formed in the late 60s," says David Dorn, senior vice president of e-Commerce for Rhino Entertainment. "More often than not, the way new fans discover the band's music is through friends, and today there are very few social networks connecting friends around music like imeem. We're excited to be partnering with imeem to build a community where longstanding fans can turn new ones on to the greatest rock band ever."

Led Zeppelin was formed in London in 1968 and was the highest grossing touring band of the seventies. Their concerts, often three hours in length, were legendary. With over 300 million albums sold worldwide, Led Zeppelin's boundary-shattering music remains timeless and their enormous energy undiminished. More than two decades after their last concert together, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones, will reunite for a one-off concert on December 10, 2007 in honor or Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun at London's O2 Arena.

“Trying to do justice describing the impact and significance of Led Zeppelin in a couple sentences is a near impossible task. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with this legendary band as they enter the digital music landscape,” said Steve Jang, chief marketing officer and head of business development for imeem. “We’re excited to give fans, old and new, the opportunity to discover amazing live concert footage from Led Zeppelin on our social network and add their favorite videos to fan sites, blogs, social network profiles, and playlists across the Web.”
