ROBOT MONSTER ARMY, led by ex-WARGASM frontman Bob Mayo, has released its second album, entitled Monsterpiece. The album is now available via all major digital media outlets.

“This record, like the first one, is kind of a tribute to the Metal of the late '70’s,“ says Mayo. “While the whole punk rock thing was happening, right before the NWOBHM hit. There were so many great Metal records that came out then by UFO, JUDAS PRIEST, SCORPIONS, BLUE OYSTER CULT, RAINBOW, AC/DC, RUSH, CHEAP TRICK, THIN LIZZY… That period was when I got into music so that’s what this project has always been about.”

As for lyrical themes, Monsterpiece contains songs about the KISS Army & the Marvel Comics character Black Bolt, as well as instrumental tributes to the Boston Bruins hockey team and the history of Godzilla.

Mayo confirms that both songs from the extremely rare ‘No Big Deal’ single have been included as bonus tracks. As for guest appearances this time around, Mayo says members of Boston metal stalwarts MELIAH RAGE and STEEL ASSASSIN have contributed, among others. YAAG Records plans a CD release in December.
