ROXY PETRUCCI Reports On 9th Annual Cape Breton International Drum Festival

Former VIXEN drummer Roxy Petrucci, KITTIE's Mercedes Lander, VIRGIL DONATI and TOMMY CLUFETOS (ROB ZOMBIE, ALICE COOPER, TED NUGENT) are among the guests who appeared at the 9th Annual Cape Breton International Drum Festival, which took place May 23rd - 24th in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Roxy Petrucci has issued the following:
"All I can say is wow!This was my first time performing in a drum festival and the experience at Cape Breton was fantastic! The level of talent was mind blowing and the camaraderie of everyone involved made it all the more amazing.
I have to admit that I was pretty nervous. Luckily my hubby's encouragement and support kept me cool while Dom Famularo's motivating and inspiring words kicked me in the ass.
I was in my dressing room warming up when the knock came and I heard, "Roxy you're on". I took a couple of deep breaths and went out there determined to do what I've been doing for the past 20 years; beat the hell out of those skins. I had so much fun tearin' it up and before I knew it I was getting ready to end the set with a final smash to the cymbal when I saw the crowd jump to their feet and show their appreciation... it was a great moment for me and I plan on doing this again in the near future.
