SAMMY HAGAR Responds To Recent Issues Surrounding Cabo Wabo Cantina In Fresno, CA

Entrepreneur and rock ‘n roll hall of famer SAMMY HAGAR responded to issues, today, presented by local news media regarding the newly opened Cabo Wabo Cantina in Fresno, California; stating that the issues are related to a company that has licensed the Cabo Wabo name and that he is not responsible for the actions or inactions of that licensee.
“Given the controversies reported in media surrounding the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Fresno, I want to be very clear on one point -- the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Fresno is not owned or run by me or anyone associated with the Cabo Wabo organization,” stated Hagar. “Everyone in Fresno should be aware that the restaurant is owned and operated by a licensee, Fresno Rock Taco, LLC, which is controlled by Milton Barbis. I am in no way associated with the Granite Park development project.”“Through our licensing agreement, I have granted the use of the Cabo Wabo name and logo, as well as my name and image to Fresno Rock Taco, LLC. If Mr. Barbis cannot meet the established guidelines for use of those trademarks, I am well within my rights to cancel the contract with his company. I hope I do not have to take such drastic actions as I would like the community of Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley to enjoy Cabo Wabo, but not at the expense of those who have worked to bring this to the area,” concluded Hagar.
