SCALE THE SUMMIT - Adventure Metal Across America Commercial Posted

Houston, TX based progressive instrumental act SCALE THE SUMMIT have announced their upcoming 2012 headlining tour, entitled Adventure Metal Across America. It will be a two band tour in which they will receive direct support from TODAY I CAUGHT THE PLAGUE. This tour will be the second headlining tour for Scale The Summit and will start on May 5th and continue throughout June 6th. Check out a commercial for the trek below:
Guitarist Chris Letchford commented on the tour: "There's been a lot going on in the Scale The Summit camp since we got home from our first headlining tour! First I'm very excited announce our new Adventure Metal Across America Tour! It's our second headlining tour this year for The Collective, hitting a lot of the cities we missed on the first one. For those of you who came out to the first one, we'll be mixing up our entire 80 minute set with different songs! We're really excited to be bringing out Today I Caught The Plague, great progressive band from Toronto, currently out on the road with our buddies in PROTEST THE HERO and PERIPHERY!"

Along with the new tour, the band is announcing the departure of bassist, Jordan Eberhardt. Letchford commented: "Jordan decided earlier in the year he no longer wanted to tour full time so we have decided to part ways. We have had great luck having all original members for the past 3 full lengths and over 6 years! We wish him the best!"
Scale The Summit has announced Mark Michell (TETRAFUSION) as the new bassist, Letchford stated: "We are really excited to see what Mark brings to the band! So far our first rehearsal went great!"
Mark's debut show will be is April 21st in Bridgeport, CT for the Fauxchella Fest at Gallery 305K.
In addition, Scale The Summit has uploaded a play through video featuring Michell for the single, 'Giants', off of their 2009 release, Carving Desert Canyons. Letchford states this song is the "hardest and longest song" off of that album. To get a taste of Michell's playing, the play through video can be seen below:
