According to Wolfgang Spahr from Billboard.biz, German hard rock veterans the SCORPIONS have signed an exclusive publishing deal with BMG Rights Management in Berlin.

This agreement includes the rights to the current album Sting In The Tail which has already gone gold in several countries. It peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 in April.

The Scorpions' farewell tour started in Germany in May and will take the band across five continents. Scorpions have not only won the German ECHO award for lifetime achievement but have received many other honors, including three World Music Awards and last April they added their hand prints to the Rock Walk of Fame in Hollywood.

BMG already has 100 songs by the Scorpions including the biggest hit 'Wind Of Change'.

"We believe that by signing with BMG, we have found a reliable and international partner who will help us exploit our musical works worldwide," said lawyer and Scorpions manager Peter F. Amend in a statement.
