SCORPIONS To Embark On Latin American Tour In August

Latin American tour company Top Link Music have announced that German rockers SCORPIONS will embark on a Latin American tour in August. Further details to follow.
As previously reported, the band recently updated their site to announce their upcoming live dates, which currently include:
April
6 in Riga, Latvia at Venue TBA
7 in Vilnius, Lithuania
July
7 in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic at Venue TBA
August
28 in Ottawa, ON at Venue TBA
30 in Montreal, QC at Venue TBA
Also, host Pat Martin at Sacramento, California's 98 Rock KRXQ (www.krxq.net) recently confirmed that Scorpions are reportedly "in talks" to perform on the 2007 OZZFest tour.
Citing his source as "a friend" who "has close ties to the band, was in the studio with them recently in Los Angeles", and supplied Pat with the information.
Pat also emphasizes, "It's not official, of course, but a strong and credible rumor at this point."
Back in November, 2006, Scorpions issued the following band update: "The new album is taking shape and right now we are recording the basic tracks. We enjoy working with Desmond Child (KISS, BON JOVI, AEROSMITH), James Michael (MEAT LOAF, MÖTLEY CRÜE) and the whole team very much. As always, California rocks! Best wishes from L.A."
