According to Cuban News Agency, members of the Brazilian band SEPULTURA, one of the greatest exponents of brutal death metal in Latin America, said they were "happy to be in Cuba," where they are to perform on Saturday.
"It's an honor to be in this country, and to have the opportunity to perform at the Tribuna Antiimperialista," said guitar player and leader of the band Andreas Kisser at a press conference. The Tribuna Antimperialista (Anti-imperialist Grandstand) is a square across the US Interest Section in Havana, where cultural and political rallies take place.
According to organizers, more than 60,000 people are expected to attend the concert.
"We know that young Cubans are looking forward to the concert on Saturday," said Kisser.
"We are going to play classic songs and new songs, and also some songs of our new album, which is currently in the production stage. It was inspired by Kubrick's film A Clockwork Orange," said the leader of the band.
Sepultura was founded in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte 25 years ago. It is considered one of the world best hard rock bands of the 1980's and 1990's.
