According to Canadaeast.com, designers at Gogii Games in downtown Moncton had a priceless source of reference material when developing a new video game called Shannon Tweed's Attack of the Groupies - her personal photo album filled with pictures from all stages of her life.

George Donovan, president of Gogii Games in Downtown Moncton, shows Shannon Tweed's personal photo album. The actress and model entrusted the photos with the Moncton company as they developed the video game Shannon Tweed's Attack Of The Groupies, which is due for release later this year.

The new video game, where players can assume Shannon's identity and fight off groupies who are trying to break into the mansion, is in the final stages of development and should be hitting the international market by the end of the year.

"This game is just one of 12 titles that we're about to release but it is getting so much hype that we're really working hard on it. We want to develop something that really lives up to the hype," says George Donovan, president of the Moncton-based Gogii Games.

Located in the upper floors of an historic building on Main Street in Moncton, Donovan's office is a long way from Hollywood, but the little game company is making a mark on the international industry.

Donovan started the company a few years ago with a small group of artists and it now employs 33 in Moncton, Nova Scotia and Europe. Gogii Games has developed over 65 games and the demand for new amusements is growing with the popularity of Facebook and smartphones. Believe it or not, one of the fastest growing demographics of people who play video games on their phones are mature women in their 60s.

Always on the lookout for new subjects for games, Donovan met legendary KISS bassist and frontman Gene Simmons and his long-time partner Shannon Tweed when the couple visited Moncton in January of this year. He approached Tweed with an idea for a game based on her and she was immediately receptive. Both Simmons and Tweed got involved in the game by providing images and voices. The couple are well-known to TV audiences for their reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

"She was really great about it and got involved in the project," says Donovan.

"She's like a real Maritimer, very generous, more than I thought she would have been."
