VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitar legend SLASH is currently recording his new solo album in Los Angeles with Josh Freese (drums) and Chris Chaney (bass).

An update from Slash reads: "Hey, hope you had a Rock & Roll Easter weekend!

We've nailed 4 killer tracks with 4 amazing vocals so far, nailing another one Tuesday, so things are going extremely well.

Everybody who has contributed vocals so far have been flawless and the rhythm section, Josh and Chris, are priceless. Eric Valentine is a genius producer, not to mention, his team is great.

All in all this last couple of weeks have been a hell a lot of fun and we're just getting started. It's definitely going to be a kick ass record, if I do say so myself."

Slash previously revealed via Twitter that OZZY OSBOURNE will be guesting on his new solo album.

Stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, Slash's new ringtone, 'Apocolyse', is now available on his MySpace music player. Download it, for free, at this location.
