Guitarist Stevie Salas has checked in with the following update:

"Ahhh, it's so great to be back home in Carlsbad, California smelling the ocean and gettin' ready for summer!! I have been workin' 18 hr days for months, but it's cool. I love my job!

Europe was awesome and as always I had a great time! The fans are so on time and every night I was so humbled hearing the crowd singing gang vocals of 'I feel like pumpin' it up feeeel like pumpin it up'. I also went to some spots I have never been like Poland, Hungary (thank sweet Szosz for the cool photo she sent from a gig) and Romania. I met so many new friends and I also saw so many old friends too (thank GOD for friends!). I am pleased to say that I will be back in Europe in September, so get ready! ( more on that later ). Also, please spread the word that Bellaphon Germany will release my CD, Be What It Is, at the end of June in Germany, Austria as well as most of Europe.

By the way, kids, I need some online promo from the fans, so any blogging and help will be on fire! I hear I will be in tons of magazines and the Hamburg hip mag Oxmox picked it as CD Of The Month. Very cool.

Now that that's goin' on, of course the Japanese are getting ready to release a brand new CD called Set It On Blast, which I just finished mixing in LA and San Diego the other night with Jean Marie Horvat and Ben Moore. The artwork/photos were shot by Katja Ostermeyer in Frankfurt, Germany and put together in Tokyo while a mastering studio in Tokyo was mastering! Talk about crazy emails and no sleep, but it was worth it. The CD kicks much ass with guests like Brian Tichy, Matt Sorum, Ron Blair, Jara Slapbak, TM Stevens, Gandhi (from Costa Rica), Tak Matsumoto, Dorean Heartsong, Joey Heredia, Dan Rothchild, Steve Feronne and the mighty Bernard Fowler.....check for it mid-July.

Now as I get ready for summer (and a few TRI CITY ROLLERS gigs here in Oceanside and Carlsbad) I hope everyone has a great one. Next week I will be in Toronto shooting a video with Janet Panic then in Montreal cutting vocals on a record I am producing for Melissa Pash. Then back for a Rollers gig at the Royal Dive, so if you see me out say hello."

Cheers til then

Stevie
