STRAPPING YOUNG LAD - Limited Run Of Single Vinyl LPs From Forthcoming Box Set To Be Made Available
April 6, 2013, 11 years ago
The long-awaited, long-suffering STRAPPING YOUNG LAD 7xLP box set, entitled The Complete Works, will be available for pre-order, beginning April 17th. Blood Music, who are putting the packages together, have checked in with the following update:
"We will have a limited run of 100 copies only of each of Strapping Young Lad's albums on white vinyl and 100 copies only of each album on black vinyl. There will be no bonuses, including no bonus LP, and no 7".This is purely done out of respect for those who cannot afford the set or who are fans of specific albums only.
The records themselves will not be cheap but affordable, as we had to tear apart the box set to make this happen. But the presentation will still be excellent.
Includes:
• All five Strapping Young Lad albums, remastered for vinyl by Spectre Mastering (Troy Glessner) with new artwork by Seempieces | Illustration & Design by Travis Smith.
Does NOT include box, book, slipmat, poster, T-shirt, 7", bonus LP, or anything else.
Note: We have not yet decided if these will be up for pre-order on 17.4.2013 or at a later date. To be determined."

Blood Music recently revealed the "mystery" 7th LP to be included in The Complete Works. The Demos & Rarities LP contains virtually every SYL bonus track that ever existed, remastered for vinyl.
Says Blood Music: "Before we move forward, we should let anyone know with an inkling of an interest in the TOM JONES 'What's New, Pussycat?' cover that is endlessly referenced on the internet... We asked about this track, and it was never finished and does not exist."
About the art: "Seempieces | Illustration & Design by Travis Smith asked us: 'What do you wanna do about that extra record with all the bonus tracks?'
Blood Music: "Just scribble the SYL logo."
Travis: "Scribble?"
Blood Music: "Yup, in little circles. Like a sketchpad."
Travis: "OK, sounds cool."
