SWARM OF EYES Announce New Drummer; Live Dates Scheduled
August 16, 2011, 13 years ago
New England thrash/metal outfit SWARM OF EYES has announced Tommy Burke as their new drummer. Burke, a veteran of the New
England metal scene, will be joining the band on their first set of live shows in September and October.
Burke has played with such bands as VERTICAL SMILE, RATCHABURI and TRENCH. Before joining Swarm of Eyes, he had also played drums for EXCEED, which also featured Swarm Of Eyes vocalist Randy Carter. Known for his hard-hitting style and use of a double-bass drum, the addition of Tommy Burke will bring an exciting new element to the band's sound in a live
setting.
Swarm Of Eyes will be making their live debut on Saturday, September 24th, at The Lucky Dog in Worcester, MA. The band is also scheduled to perform on Thursday, October 6th at Great Scott in Alston, MA, joining bands ACARO and DEATH RAY VISION on the bill. More information on these shows and others to come may be found on the band's website.
Swarm Of Eyes will be performing songs from their debut album, Designing The Dystopia, which was released in April 2011 via
Humanemic Records. Designing the Dystopia is available for sale through the band's website, as well as via online independent music mega-store CD Baby. The album has also been made available for digital download on iTunes.
