Testament have confirmed The Dark Roots Of Earth as the title of their new album, tentatively due in October via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD is currently being recorded with British producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE) and is the follow-up to 2008's The Formation Of Damnation.

As previously reported, due to an undisclosed serious injury, drummer Paul Bostaph will not be able to participate in the recording of the new album. Gene Hoglan (DEATH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, FEAR FACTORY), who played on Testament's 1997 album Demonic, will be handling drum duties, with LAMB OF GOD's Chris Adler set to make a special guest appearance on a couple of bonus tracks.
