TEXTURES To Play India For The First Time

TEXTURES are confirmed to perform at the Deccan Rock Festival which will mark the band's first performance in India. The festival which the band will be co-headlining with AMON AMARTH will take place at Palace grounds in Bangalore, India on December 5th.
The band is excited to finally play India as there have been a lot of rumors the past year of the band touring this metal loving country.
Textures took taken India by storm in an unprecedented manner in September. Despite having never setting foot in the country, and without ever officially releasing a record there, the band are featured on the cover of the nation’s biggest rock magazine, the Rock Street Journal. The mag contains a five-page interview with the band as well as a poster and a CD with three Textures tracks.
Within three days, every single one of the 50,000 copies of the magazine were sold out, and a re-print of the magazine is set to hit the shelves next week to feed the demand. This fantastic result is testament to how power of the Internet can showcase the incredible talent of a young band, in this case capturing the imaginations of all of one nation’s metalheads who obviously know quality when they hear it.
India will be the band’s last performance before hitting the studio to record a new album, which will be released in the fall 2010 on Nuclear Blast.
