THE AGONIST vocalist Alissa White-Gluz has issued the following update:

"The members of The Agonist have always believed in the power of song. Now you can prove it.

The Agonist's most recent campaign for care is targeted towards impoverished Masai-Mara in Kenya. We are working hard to raise funds to build a medical clinic in the fight against the devastating AIDS pandemic.

Additionally, to bring attention to the cause, one Agonist member will be skydiving live on national television alongside other Canadian celebrities on September 12th, 2008.

The Agonist also has a whole new line of merch, soon to be available in the online store. They are printed on organic cotton and fabricated in a sweat-shop free facility in Bethlehem - a factory who's initiative has the active support of the Palestinian & the Israeli foreign ministries.

Here's a short segment about it by Al Jazeera TV. The Jewish, Israeli and US mainstream press has been just as positive.

When you purchase one of our new shirts, we will donate 60% of the profits towards Song for Africa /Free the Children. So not only do you get a wicked new Agonist shirt, but you also help the environment, peace in the Middle East and advancements for the medical and educational systems of Third World Countries.

So, buy a t-shirt, donate online and be sure to catch the skydive on September 12th (live if you are from Canada, youtube if not!)

Thank you for your support and thoughtfulness in providing equal opportunity to everything living on Earth.
