After spending many months in the studio, melodic death metallers THE AGONIST have finally finished their long-awaited third studio album, Prisoners. Produced by Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY) and mixed by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY, SUICIDE SILENCE), Prisoners is set to be released via Century Media Records on June 4th in Europe and June 5th in North America,

In regards to this upcoming album, the band comments: "Creating Prisoners was the most challenging under-taking to date for The Agonist. Years of emotion, passion, thought and experience went into making this album, and I think people will be able to hear, feel and think right along with us when they listen to Prisoners."

The Agonist will headline Metallization 2.0 at Murphy's Inn in Cornwall, Ontario on April 7th. Other bands on the bill include EREBOS, BE THE SAVIOUR and RISING CITY STATES. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Go to this location for event details.
