THE ANSWER, a four-piece rock band from Northern Ireland now touring as the opening act on AC/DC’s Black Ice World Tour, will make an in-store appearance at the Union Square Virgin Megastore in New York City on Tuesday, November 11 at 7PM. The event is in support of that day’s release of their debut North American title Never Too Late, a limited-edition two-disc set that bundles a four-song EP and a bonus DVD featuring previously unreleased footage.

The Answer will play a short set and sign copies of Never Too Late for fans during the November 11 in-store. Everyone who attends their Virgin Megastore (52 East 14th Street, NYC, NY, 10003) performance that evening will be entered into a prize drawing to win a pair of tickets to see The Answer perform as support act for AC/DC at one of their Madison Square Garden concerts on November 12 and 13. The AC/DC tour represents The Answer’s debut tour of America. Just prior to the tour’s two-night stand at Chicago’s Allstate Arena last week, the Daily Herald noted about The Answer that, “The quartet has turned a lot of heads around the globe, as leathery Brits Jimmy Page, Joe Elliott and David Coverdale have all praised their authentic retro stomp.”

Recently included on Rolling Stone’s Hot List, The Answer is made up of Cormac Neeson (lead vocals), Paul Mahon (guitar), Micky Waters (bass) and James Heatley (drums). In Europe and the U.K. – where their major awards include Best New UK Band at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards – they’ve opened shows for THE ROLLING STONES, THE WHO, AEROSMITH and other legendary acts. THE ANSWER has also headlined tours in the U.K., Europe, Japan and Australia, where their first album Rise won significant critical and popular acclaim.

Never Too Late comes out on independent label The End Records with distribution through Sony RED. To be released exclusively in North America, the set’s four-song EP opens with the title track, a song originally from Rise that’s also featured on Activision’s just-released Guitar Hero: World Tour. Another track, 'Highwater Or Hell, previews the band’s forthcoming North American debut album, Everyday Demons. Produced by John Travis (KID ROCK, STATIC-X, etc.) and mixed by Tim Palmer and Mike Fraser (who recently mixed AC/DC’s Black Ice), the album will be released February 16, 2009. Never Too Late’s DVD bonus disc has interviews with the band, live footage from Japan, on-the-road footage from the U.K. and five videos made to support Rise.
