THE FYREDOGS, launched by GRAVE GIGGER frontman Chris Boltendahl, have issued the following update:

"This is Hellfyre Rock N' Roll!

It's a pain in the ass for a band when it comes to the point of explaining what kind of music you are playing, isn't it?! Is it metal, is it punk, is it rock or something in-between or nothing at all? Fuck this! The Fyredogs make it easy 'cause we play Rock N' Roll. Full stop. Nothing more, nothing less. What you hear and see is what you get!

Here we are:

Chris "The Reaper" Boltendahl - vocals

Pete O'Haira - lead guitar

Doc B. Danger - rhythm guitar

Randy Starr - rums

Anger - bass

After ten years on the road, two fists full of 10 inches, EPs, demos and sampler participations, personnel changes and a complete breakdown in 2008 this is what we call a comeback!

Hellfyre Rock N' Roll, our new longplayer, recorded, mixed and mastered at CoMuDe-Studios in our home town Cologne by Michael Dorniak, will be released worldwide by Golden Core/ZYX Music on March 12th, 2010. Thirteen tracks of pure sound, catchy hooklines and the fastest and meanest beats to dance, sing along and drink through the night with!

So, grab your girl or boy or who ever you like, take a case of brew and be a proud member of The Fyredogs family. Why? 'Cause Rock 'n' Roll still is king!"

BraveWords.com recently spoke exclusively to Boltendahl about The Fyredogs and how it affects his work with Grave Digger:

"There's no conflicts with Grave Digger," reassures the singer. "The Fyredogs is a band where I can do things which I can't do with Grave Digger. I'm a great rock n' roll and MOTÖRHEAD fan, so with the Fyredogs I can do these things outside of Grave Digger. Grave Digger is my absolutely first priority, but I thought for a long time about doing a side band. You can't really compare the music of the two bands. If I did another metal band, that would be a problem. Actually, the idea came up when Grave Digger recorded the Motörhead cover ('Overkill') on the 'Pray' single. I love that song! Then I found the Fyredogs guys again. I had tried to get their management contract in the late '90s, but we never worked together. Last April, I called them and asked them to do some shit together. That was the rebirth of the Fyredogs. The songs on the MySpace site are very different to what's on the (forthcoming) record."
