Beyond tragic news as legendary comedian and actor Robin Williams died Monday morning of an apparent suicide. He was 63.

“I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings,” said his wife Susan Schneider, in a statement. “I am utterly heartbroken. The focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”

The Marin County Sheriff's coroner's division said it suspected Williams committed suicide by asphyxia, but the cause of death is still under investigation and an autopsy will be conducted Tuesday.
