Swedish thrash metal unit THE LAW have inked a record deal with Metal Central Records. The band, featuring VOMITORY guitarist Peter Östlund, released the demo, Dudes Of Darkness, in 2006. It got them a spot in the soundtrack of the Get Thrashed documentary featuring bands such as EXODUS, OVERKILL, METALLICA and SLAYER. All tracks for the yet untitled debut CD are recorded and will be released in early 2008. According to a press release, "the songs are heavy influenced by the bay area thrash metal scene, but the band manages to still do their own thing by incorporating hardrocking grooves and focusing on melodic vocal arrangements."

The Law line-up:

Tobias Jansson – vocals (TREASURE LAND, SUGARGLIDER)

Björn Larsson – guitars (KARENSDAG)

Peter Östlund – Guitars (Vomitory)

Jimmie “Ninja” Frödin – bass

Johan Rudberg – drums (Karensdag)

Metal Central Records is a newly founded label and one Sweden’s largest webzines that released a compilation of Swedish underground metal acts entitled Metalcentral Metal Collection in early 2007. The compilation featured bands such as SONIC SYNDICATE, The Law, DOGPOUND, VINDICTIV and MOONVILLE.
