hot flashes news the psyke project

Lifeforce Records artists, Denmark's THE PSYKE PROJECT check in with the following update:

"We began the early composings for this record in the beginning of 2008. (Guitarist) Bono joined forces in July and has been like a very strong energy bar to this band with great ideas and good karma ever since. Thank you for this and thank you for keeping up with us.

For the last 4 months we have spent hours and hours together in the rehearsal room composing and getting the stuff ready for the studio live recording. This progress has been extremely important for all of us and quite intense. Besides being in a band together we are best friends and fellow mates which means spending a lot of time together just hanging out and chilling. It has resulted in many hours talking the songs and progress through to the very final note. We have been nearding this to the extreme you might say.

Now it's all in the past and we have the album in our hands.

It's the best feeling ever and makes us all proud, but at the same time it leaves us with a glance of sadness in our minds and hearts that it's all over.

On our drive back from Gothenburg, Sweden to Copenhagen, Denmark we had the chance to listen to the record as a whole musically experience with all tracks in order- like when you guys will hear it once it's released. All 12 songs covers approximately 68 minutes.

The general atmosphere on this album is sluggish, pounding and mellow. It's brutal and cold as hell itself and nothing has been compromised. At the same time all songs have like a sad feeling and tension into it.

Our musically expression has been defined quite a lot the past years and we have all evolved as musicians and composers.

If you are into the more epic, noisy and heavy parts of TPP from Daikini and Apnea you might find this album interesting as well.

Release date is August 24th, 2009.

Last we would like to give a huge thanks and appreciation to Henrik Udd and Federik Nordström- the producers at Studio Fredman. You guys are awesome and fairly handsome as well. Nice working with you. ;)

All best,

Jeppe, Martin, Bonne, Mikkel and Rasmus."
