SEBASTIAN BACH - who opened for GUNS N' ROSES earlier this evening in London, England at The 02 Arena - reports that original GN'R bassist DUFF MCKAGAN, who left the band in 1997, joined AXL ROSE and co. onstage for the following songs: 'You Could Be Mine', 'Nice Boys' (ROSE TATTOO cover), 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door' (BOB DYLAN cover) and 'Patience'.

According to Rock Radio, Axl Rose claims the event came about by accident because the pair happened to be sharing the same hotel. He told the crowd: "There was this guy at the end of my hallway playing all this loud music and shit. What the fuck? Oh – it's Duff!"

This evening's performance marks the first time since 1993 that McKagan and Rose have shared a stage ahead of the band's collapse. Of the classic lineup, only guitarist Izzy Stradlin has previously guested with Rose's new version of the band, making a handful of appearances in 2006.
