Debemur Morti Productions reports:

Althought its genesis dates back to 1997, most of you probably never heard of VETUS OBSCURUM, another project emanating from Numinas' perverted mind.

Exhumed from its quietus in 2008, Vetus Oscurum, now composed of Numinas (KROHM, DRAWN AND QUARTERED), Death (Drawn And Quartered) and Nihilist (ex-ABAZAGORATH, IN MEMORIUM), recorded their debut EP, titled Blood Revelations, and recently joined the ranks of Debemur Morti Productions. The band is currently busy writing material for the first full lengther.

For those curious enough, the old demo material, as well as one new track, has been uploaded on the band's MySpace page. Blood Revelations is currently being mastered at German Clintworks Studio and will be unleashed at the end of September.

Vetus Oscurum had a brief incarnation as a solo project shortly before the formation of Krohm in 1997. Raw and filthy black metal compositions were arranged onto a rehearsal tape that sat in Numinas' vault all these years... until recently (songs are now uploaded on the band's Myspace page).

Numinas resurrected Vetus Oscurum in 2008 as an outlet for new riffs and ideas that did not fit with the material he was writing for Krohm. Being the polar manifestation of Numinas’ music in Krohm, Vetus Oscurum now stands alone as its own unique entity of grim and raging black metal.

Four new songs were written and recorded in 2008, with Numinas handling all the instruments while vocal duties were assigned to like-minded brothers-in-metal Herb Burke (Death) of Drawn And Quartered and M. Nihilist of In Memorium (formerly in ABAZAGORATH, ENGORGED, LORD GORE, THY INFERNAL).

Tracked and mixed at Numinas’ own ColdVoid studio, the new tracks will be released as an EP entitled Blood Revelations on Debemur Morti Productions in September of 2009.

Numinas is currently preparing new material for a Vetus Oscurum full-length album.

Further updates to follow.
