Wacken Open Air 2012 took place August 2nd - 4th in Wacken, Germany. Organizers have issued the following:
"What was Wacken like this year? Wacken 2012 was a bit of sun, a lot of rain, mud... even more mud, outstanding bands, brilliant fans and an amazing good mood! For all of those who had to stay at home for some reasons and all who still wallow in memories we want to refer you to the following clip. Wacken Open Air organizers have confirmed the first acts for the festival's 2013 installment. LINGUA MORTIS ORCHESTRA, AMORPHIS, DEEP PURPLE, ARCH ENEMY, NIGHTWISH, SABATON, DORO, ANTHRAX, and SUBWAY TO SALLY are on the roster for next year, which will run from August 1st - 3rd.
Amorphis is due to perform an acoustic set, while Doro will be celebrating her 30th Anniversary in the music business. More details and acts will be revealed over the next several months.
