Portaro's, main priority Whiplash have recently parted ways with Pulverised Records, the Singaporean label that released the band's 2009 album, Unborn Again. The group is currently writing new material and preparing to hit the road in March 2011 followed by a 25th- anniversary DVD, entitled 25 Years Of Thrash.

In other news, Whiplash has released professionally filmed video footage of the band's performance at last year's 20th-anniversary edition of the Wacken Open Air festival, which was held July 30 - August 1, 2009 in Wacken, Germany. A clip of the three-piece power trio performing the song 'Feeding Frenzy' from Unborn Again can be viewed below.

Unborn Again, the latest album from Whiplash, was released last fall via Pulverised Records. The CD was recorded at Mozart Studio with Harris Johns. The band mixed and mastered the album at Spiderhouse Studio. The cover artwork was created by Ed Repka (DEATH, ATHEIST, MEGADETH, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, POSSESSED).

Whiplash is a three-piece power trio hailing from New Jersey. The band was assembled back in 1984 when Tony Portaro (guitar, vocals) and Tony Scaglione (drums) joined forces, recruited Tony Bono on bass and released their first CD, Power And Pain, in 1985 on Roadrunner Records. The debut CD was followed up by their first live performance at Ruthie's in Berkley, California with POSSESSED and DEATH ANGEL.

Whiplash's current lineup:
