According to The Great Southern Brainfart, Los Angeles-based metallers WHITE WIZZARD will be hitting the road for the White Wizzard Legacy Tour. The tour will feature every vocalist of White Wizzard performing songs from the bands three album catalog.

“I was thinking about what we could do for the fans of White Wizzard that have stuck by us all these years. I decided to try and bury the hatchet so I reached out to Luna (James Paul Luna, now of HOLY GRAIL), Wyatt Anderson and Mikey Gremio and asked them to join us and our current singer Joseph Michael about doing a tour”, says White Wizzard leader/bassist Jon Leon. “I was very apprehensive about it and I really didn’t think anyone would be down for this but they all were very much into it.”

Checking in from the Metal Alliance Tour, Holy Grail vocalist James Paul Luna had this to say: “When Jon called I thought it was a brilliant idea. It’s been so long since I’ve sung on those songs. Going back and learning those songs like 'Celestina' and 'High Speed GTO' just really made my pants tighten up. The idea of sharing the stage with the almighty White Wizzard will be an amazing experience. It will also be a great way to collect the $45.00 that Jon owes me.”

Wyatt Anderson seems to be just as pumped about this Legacy tour. “Rejoining my White Wizzard brothers is going to be amazing. I’m really looking forward to doing these White Wizzard classics again but I’m even more excited about the upcoming duet single that I am working on with Luna. We are doing a cover of the OZZY OSBOURNE/LITA FORD classic, 'Close My Eyes Forever'. I hope Jon will allow us to play this one on the tour.

Mikey Gremio, while excited about this tour seemed to be the only one a bit on the fence about the whole thing. “While I think this tour is a great idea, I’m just a little confused as to what songs I will be singing. I mean, we have Luna singing the GTO songs and Wyatt singing the Over the Top and Flying Tigers songs. Maybe we can do a few SAMMY HAGAR covers or something?”

As for current singer Joseph Michael, “I”m just happy to be here and not having to go back to work at Wenchel’s. This is going to be an awesome tour.”

The White Wizzard Legacy tour will kick off in Los Angeles on March 1st at the Whiskey A Go-Go and winding down in Poughkeepsie on August 9th. Joining The White Wizzard Legacy tour as opening acts will be Los Angeles’s BONDED BY BLOOD.

Bassist Jessie Sanchez had this to say: “Being asked to join the White Wizzard Legacy Tour is a career highlight for me without a doubt. It’s tours like this that truly inspire me to be a musician and to do what I do. This tour will be rad as fuck dude.”

All tour dates will be released this Friday at 9 AM, EST.

White Wizzard recently confirmed a show in West Hollywood, with veterans LIZZY BORDEN. White Wizzard - who are currently recording their new studio album, The Devil's Cut - will be supporting Lizzy Borden at the world famous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip on April 13th.

White Wizzard bassist and main man Jon Leon commented: "We are happy to announce White Wizzard will be playing direct support to the classic and amazing band Lizzy Borden at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, April 13th. We go on at 11 PM sharp. If you are in LA make sure you buy tickets. It's going to be an amazing show!!!"

The Devil's Cut is being recorded with producer Ralph Patlan (MEGADETH, UFO, MICHAEL SCHENKER) at Phase Four Studios in Tempe, Arizona. The album is the band's third full-length release, and their first to feature vocalist Joseph Michael. The album is due to be released later this year on Earache Records in Europe and via Century Media/Earache Records in North America.
