During the 2010 December Decimation tour, BareBonesMusic.com sat down with lead vocalist Johnny Plague from WINDS OF PLAGUE.

Evil G. talks with Johnny about what has been going on with the band since this past summer's Rockstar Mayhem Fest. He spoke about how the band hand picked the line-up for the December Decimation Tour and how the band is enjoying it. Most importantly Johnny reveals what has been going on with their follow up to the bands last record, The Great Stone War, what fans can expect, all the different guest appearances that they had during recording including Jamey Jasta of HATEBREED, Drew York of STRAY FROM THE PATH, TERROR guitarist Martin Stewart and Mattie Montgomery from FOR TODAY and recording with renowned producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, HATEBREED, CHILDREN OF BODOM). Johnny also talks about playing a new single, 'Refined In The Fire', from the forthcoming record live and the fans response to it. Finally he talks about the bands tour plans for 2011 and after the record is released sometime in March.

After annihilating the masses on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest throughout the summer of 2010, Winds Of Plague now prepares to further spread their carnage across North America on The Warped Tour in the summer of 2011.

This is a huge opportunity for the band to perform in front of a different crowd while definitely bringing something unique to this festival to separate themselves from the pack. Expect big circle pits and one of the most energetic performances of the day.

“The Warped Tour has been an event I have been attending since I started going to shows and needless to say, I have always wanted to participate in it, so we are very excited to say the least. Warped has always been known for the eclectic lineups and I am anxious to get in front of a new crowd and continue to build the WOP army. It's going to be a wild summer, so we hope you can all come and hang with us.”

Winds Of Plague are certainly in the spirit of the holiday season, which is extremely evident in this hilarious video they recently filmed on their current December Decimation headlining tour. Check out the video below and also hear the first clip of their new song, 'Refined In The Fire'.

Winds Of Plague are going to quickly change the landscape of heavy music upon the release of their third full-length release, which is a perfect metallic assault of angst ridden fury. Look for the album on Century Media Records in the spring of 2011 and expect to hear them play some new material on tour as direct support to AS I LAY DYING across North America in February and March.
