X JAPAN Comment On Original Bassist's Special Appearance At This Weekend's Tokyo Shows, US Tour To Kick Off In Los Angeles In September

According to e BW&BK;'s Japan-based source Takashi Kanazawa, X JAPAN held a press conference on Thursday, August 12th to officially confirm that original bassist Taiji Sawada will be performing as a special guest at the band's August 14th and 15th shows at Nissan Stadium in Tokyo. This will be the first time in 18-and-half years that Sawada and X Japan have played together since Sawada's departure in 1992. The initial split was due to creative differences.

Yoshiki: "I never thought I'd be standing on the same stage with Taiji again. By continuing to play music, something good does happen. To reunite musically with a friend who I met through music, there's no word to express this bliss. Nothing can stop us!"
Taiji: "It's really more honor than I deserve to play again with Yoshiki and Toshi. I'll give everything I can. Hopefully, the relationship will continue on.
In addition, the band will announce the details on US tour slated for this fall on August 16th. The seven city / eight show tour will kick off in Los Angeles on September 25th. Yoshiki revealed there will be European tour in early 2011.
