BW&BK;'s Japanese source Takashi Kanazawa has checked in with the following exclusive recap of the highlights from X JAPAN's May 2nd and 3rd shows in Tokyo, Japan:
"They played a new song called 'Jade' on both nights. On the first night, 'Rose Of Pain' was played in an acoustic setting by Pata (guitars), Heath (bass) and Toshi (vocals). On the second night, the intro of 'Kurenai' was played with a combination of (drummer) Yoshiki's piano and (new guitarist) Sugizo's violin (he's a trained classical violin player as well). That sounded pretty new for X.Also, 'Orgasm' and the latter half of 'Art Of Life' were played on the second night. The show lasted more than four hours."
The setlists for both nights were as follows:
May 2: 'Rusty Nail', 'Week End', 'Jade', 'Celebration', 'Rose Of Pain', piano solo , 'Tears', 'Dahlia', 'Kurenai', fashion show featuring VIOLET UK, drum solo, 'Without You', 'I.V.', 'X', 'Endless Rain'.
