ROB ZOMBIE - The Sinister Urge

After 16 years of making cutting edge heavy music, Rob Zombie has his groove, mostly revolving around the b-movie scene (some that he's even working on) and mixing a whole bunch of big names like Ozzy, Tommy Lee and Slayer's Kerry King into the heavy mess he mastered in White Zombie. The Sinister Urge is Rob's third solo disc. Though you wish he'd venture a little further out of the box, the music is enough to keep the crowd going up and down - with a pending co-tour with Ozzy it's the kind of stuff he needs. Mixing movie lines, loops and electric twirls with live musicians, songs like 'Feel So Numb', 'Never Gonna Stop' and 'Dead Girl Superstar' deliver everything you'd expect. Then again, how scary is anything if you're expecting it?
