According to Deep-Purple.net, the 2007 Tommy Bolin Music Fest will be held at The Chesterfield on Historic Fourth Street in Bolin's hometown of Sioux City, Iowa on August 11, 2007. More details will be provided when they become available.
According to Wikipedia, Tommy Bolin is best known for his work with ZEPHYR (from 1969 to 1971), THE JAMES GANG(from 1973 through 1974), DEEP PURPLE (from 1975 to 1976) and his solo work. The guitarist had lived a short but productive life. After opening up for JEFF BECK in Miami, Florida on December 3, 1976, Bolin was found unconsciousness at his hotel. When paramedics arrived, Tommy Bolin was pronounced dead. He was 25 years old.
