According to News.com.au, AC/DC are poised to shatter international sales records with the release of a definitive live retrospective DVD collection Plug Me In. More than 500,000 copies have already been ordered worldwide for the concert footage compilation.
Fans can preview some of the rare footage exclusively online with The Daily Telegraph, starting today with a blistering 'Rock N Roll Damnation' featuring original frontman Bon Scott at the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow in April 1978. Click below to view.
The two-disc compilation features five hours of performances and archived interviews sourced from the collections of fans and band members.
Scott's years with the band until his death in 1980 feature on the first disc and the second covers the subsequent years with his replacement Brian Johnson.
Several memorable Australian performances made the grade including 'High Voltage' at the 1975 King Of Pop awards and 'Hail Caesar', 'Ballbreaker' and 'Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution' from a Sydney Entertainment Centre concert in 1996.
Plug Me In was compiled to satisfy ongoing fan requests for the definitive performances of the band's hits.
It should also tide fans over until the band follow-up their last studio album, Stiff Upper Lip album, released in 2000.
